Immense techno at the deepest end of the dub spectrum.The Asphalt present ‘8 mile road’ a reference to Detroit’s famous landmark, and also a sonic reference to the beatdown styles of Theo Parrish, with a sub 120bpm deeply blue cut with a sprinkling of fuzzy chord changes and some mellifluous crooning in the best possible taste. Dubbyman picks up the tempo a little and adds some thick sub action on his remix, while Sacha Dive transforms ‘8 Mile road’ into an immense dub cut with even deeper subs,. However the best is saved right till last with Juju and Jordash’s remix edit completely eclipsing the original material with some unreal production tweaks fleshing out the sound into a psychedelic dub house style that needs to be heard to be believed. Recommended – especially for the Sascha Dive and Juju and Jordash cuts which owns this twelve.
