Strong vocal work from Bjak (Eargasmic, RealDeep Records) and Janet Cruz (Velophone, Realdeep Records) for this “Blessing in Disguise EP”
Opening with the magic of “Your Love” where Janet an Bjak made a wonderful duet with a really infectious chorus under a deep and solid song wich one you will be ringing in your head for a long time.
On the flipside, Above Smoke makes his interpretation of the same tune, hots beats for the floor in a hypnotic and progressive way under warms chords that goes higher and higher to the climax.

Bjak & Julio Bishop/ Ernie/ Kez YM/ Ordell “Beyond The Reef EP”
Just before to that sweet moment when the summer breeze enters, arrives the new 12″ on Deep Explorer. It’s the number 020 and it’s a label sampler with music from new and old friends.
Like Bjak (Eargasmic records) and Julio Bishop (RealDEEP recordings) that both together open the fire with their “Fashion (BC Deeper Luv mix) a late night percussive song to wake up the floor if they start to get sleepy…
The A2 is for Ernie (Minuendo records) that with his “The alcoholics” almost make up a new style that includes indian prayers an spiritual chords… but make no mistakes, is just the effects of the alcohol and good sounds.
In the B side the Japanese Kez YM continues his race to be one of the best producers in the last years. His song “Pebbles” is like a follow up of his essential two eps for Yore records.
And Ordell (Minuendo records) close the release with “The Blackholics” that reminds the Ernie’s track but in a black and soulful way.
Deep underground in different house for a nice summer…
Go ahead explorers!!

W & P Hgg “Future Gospel EP”
W & P Hgg is back to Deep Explorer with more black deep house than ever. “Future Gospel” is a 4 track ep that open the fire with “Edit gospel nº3″ the nearest track to the ep title.
If you wanted to make a party in the church of your neighborhood this is the song to convince your pastor, man!! In the same side “Long play” is the title of an atmosferic deep song.
The B is the surprise side because it contains the remix that Dubbyman & Above Smoke do about “Sleep scottheron”, the classic track from W&P edited in a limited edition of one side plastics… but is not a simple new mix of the song because The Lady Blacktronika (Cocaine records) sings over the edit in a really funky way….
Finally the ep close with “Especies de Chicago” , the most syncopated track of the ep with Rhodes to death….
I hope you will enjoy the vibe and like Lady B says: “Do do do you love meeeeeee….do do do you love meeeee”
Go ahead, explorers….

A1.Reggie Dokes “Mother Africa”
A2.Eric Johnson “In 2 deep”
B1.Reggie Dokes “Black thoughts” (Dubbyman deep in the hole mix)
B2.Reggie Dokes “Mother Africa” (Dubbyman tribute mix)
“Back in the day, when I discovered the music from Reggie Dokes and the Psychostasia label i felt something similar as when i listened for the first time the music from Lil Louis at the end of the 80′s. I mean ..are their music really house ? it must be because all the good househeads play and respect his stuff .. perhaps just for that different and unique way of make house.”
Dubbyman
Deep Explorer Music
The Golden years ep represents the special tribute that Deep Explorer make
to Psychostasia records, one of the most influential labels of the underground house of this age.
The Ep opens the fire with Reggie Dokes that plays with the tribal electronics in his completely new song called “Mother Africa” and it? exactly what the title suggest, a tribal journey through the machines into the continent. In the same side the EP continues rescuing a lost track from Eric Johnson planned for a new Psychostasia but because the big pause of the label in 2006 the precious rhodes and tribal percussion of “In 2 deep” never saw the light.
In the B side we afront the personal tribute that Dubbyman makes
to the Psychostasia label creating two remixes but in a different way never seen before; taking samplers from many songs included in the Psychostasia catalogue to create new collage versions from one of the first songs edited in Psychostasia in 2001: the classic “Black thoughts” and “Mother africa” the ultimate song from Reggie Dokes. The first one called “deep in the hole mix” rides the 4×4 rhythm into a neverending deep climax. The “tribute mix”
pithc down the tempo in a kaleidoscope of different sounds like a musical collage.
Of course that the remixes are a wink to the Psychofans but also is a perfect time to discover the Psychostasia sound …through Deep Explorer….

In this Ep of three cuts of real deep house full of sensuality for Deep Explorer
Mr. Alce defined like in his latest releases to other labels the meaning of the
“Kai touch”, a mix of sex, tension and beats..

up a little bit the tempo to offer a percusive 4×4 long tune for a nice mix..
