yeah, i know. The picture looks like he is saying “hey man, how long do you need to take the pic?
But behind the face you will find a really nice guy that loves music with a really inteligent way of live, testing all the flavours that earth can show. At least that was the vibe that i felt talking to Andres Ordonez aka Specter in the last Beatdown party in Madrid where he was playing records in a really cold night in the city even with snow in the morning… We were talking about the making of “Windtalker” his first track for the Deep Explorer sampler compilation of 2008 called “Up to the surface” and about a new remix that he will have in process for Deep Explorer.
And of course we were talikng about Tetrode music. The big label that he runs with his partner Damon Lamar. Untyl today only four releases in nine years but more that enough to make Tetrode one of the most important labels of the undergroud scene.
Andres told me that with his last releases in Eargasmic, Downbeat and Deep Explorer, he feels his batteries recharged again so we’ll see more often the Tetrode stuff.
Was really nice to meet him in my city, I hope to see you again, bro!

Tracklist
A1 – Awfully
A2 – Get down
B1 – The fix (Dubbyman remix)
B2 – The fix
Yore returns with yet another Deep Master Piece. Javier Alvarez, a Madrid-based producer and proprietor (along with his younger brother Dubbyman) of the underground label Deep Explorer Music, brings his relaxed Above Smoke sound to the Yore imprint.
In the first of four warm and atmospheric mood pieces, “Awfully” drapes dense synthetic winds over a deliciously grooving, bass-prodded deep house pulse. “Get Down” does exactly that with five funky minutes of Rhodes chords, disco hi-hats, and synth swirls; a percolating bass line lends the track a propulsive charge, while crowd voices give the cut a party vibe. On the B side’s “The Fix” Javier scatters chopped fragments of the spoken line, I’ve got a lot of shit to say and I can’t say it all in one day, I can’t say it all on one piece of tape, over a funk-house groove, after which Dubbyman offers variations on the theme in his remix of the track;
Dubbyman’s version digs deeper into the cut’s bass science and warms the tune’s slinky pulse with hand percussion and claps.
Old-school in its embrace of classic house sounds, Above Smoke’s EP is tailor-made for those who like their material laid-back, groove-centered, and funky.

With only 3 releases in the streets, Cornuta recordings is one of our favourite labels from Spain. They spread the word of the black house music movement with a personal touch full of emotional vibes. W&p Hgg aka Hugo Giner is the owner of the label and sign all the releases until the date. His contribution to Deep Explorer are a couple of tracks that really represent what his label need use to express. The both tracks ( called Space part II and Soulmarv combines soulful rhodes with dynamics beatbox rhythms and a special use of the voices that reminds some records of Sade or Marvin Gaye, in fact the second track it´s his special tribute to the famous singer of Motown.
In the B side of this duet-label release we can find two tracks that was edited at the beginning of the year in FerrisPark by Dubbyman but only in a digital way. So..here is the vinyl version for all the vinyl collectors that asking for it in plastic.
If you can´t listened in the past you must know that Rise of the equality (Extended mix) and his dub version Rise of equality (Piano take beats) are a total statement of principles about the meaning of groove. Speech style under a slowhouse
rhythm with hypnotic keys The Piano version is an instrumental take with other kind of hypnosis that increment the mix
Don´t miss it, bro!.

A born and raised Californian, But I’m dedicated to the dirty sounds of Detroit Techno and Old School Chicago House. Most recently I’ve been getting into Disco re-edits since I love disco so much its a natural transition. I hope you all enjoy my re-edits I’ve posted.
Hoping to make a mark as one of the great women (but not just) producers with integratiy to what this house and techno shit is really about, the feeling and soul!!!
