Yore returns with yet another Deep Master Piece. Javier Alvarez, a Madrid-based producer and proprietor (along with his younger brother Dubbyman) of the underground label Deep Explorer Music, brings his relaxed Above Smoke sound to the Yore imprint.

In the first of four warm and atmospheric mood pieces, “Awfully” drapes dense synthetic winds over a deliciously grooving, bass-prodded deep house pulse. “Get Down” does exactly that with five funky minutes of Rhodes chords, disco hi-hats, and synth swirls; a percolating bass line lends the track a propulsive charge, while crowd voices give the cut a party vibe. On the B side’s “The Fix” Javier scatters chopped fragments of the spoken line, I’ve got a lot of shit to say and I can’t say it all in one day, I can’t say it all on one piece of tape, over a funk-house groove, after which Dubbyman offers variations on the theme in his remix of the track;

Dubbyman’s version digs deeper into the cut’s bass science and warms the tune’s slinky pulse with hand percussion and claps.

Old-school in its embrace of classic house sounds, Above Smoke’s EP is tailor-made for those who like their material laid-back, groove-centered, and funky.

The Homeless.
Dubbyman plays with the possibilities of vinyl putting in one track two
different versions, connected with a vocal tool. The song is called The
Homeless.
In the first version Dubbyman hit us with a bassline very lively and hipnótic
percussions. The mark staff of Dubbyman being seen in the environmental,
giving pressure, and in the breaks where we can feel the groove of the track.
In the dub version the bassline is reduced,giving more presence to the
environmental showing a sound 100% Detroit. And don,t you forget the
special tool between the both tracks for djs that like to play.

B1. Good for me, is a track that smacks to labels like Sound Signature and
Alleviated. much more luminous that “the homeless”. This track proposes a
dialogue Chicago-Detroit, where the sampler of saxophone and piano mark a
tone and the environmental the replic. The precious bassline under and the
voice sampler fills shows happiness to the listener, rounding off a amazing
deep house track to enjoy this summer.
B2. Good for me (Deep explorer mix) is the second version where Dubbyman
gives a twist to the bassline , more poignant, and the environmental, which is
felt most protagonist along from around the mix. The dialogue piano-
environmental gives elegance and life to a perfect track to dance in the
framework of a electronic club.

On the self-explaining “Funkstart” and the percussive pressure-cooker “basic groove” W & P Hugg gloriously displays his great ability to strip down his tracks to the addictive essences of deephouse without unnecessary gadgets or pointless tootling: pure irresistible grooves with classic funk basslines, vocal snippets and simple rhodes keys to warm the heart – straight up heat!

Yore continues the hunt for an extra portion of the deep. This latest 12″ Release
by Spain’s “Dubbyman” (head of Deep Explorer Music), brings us some serious
deep early morning house grooves, filled with overwhelming warmth and
sensational sweet melodies. Each down-tempo track, focuses around an overall
strong groove, that will get you feet whip and get your heads turning, while
soulful voice snippets flirt with your ears. Dubbyman is at his best on this
“Dubless EP” and surely proves to be a man to look out for. The ep also features
a remix of “Loveless” by his brother Above Smoke, that takes the original mix
more into a clubby 4/4 vein and nicely gives a round up to this. Dubbyman &
Above Smoke are the heads of Deep Explorer Music, a label that has become

Sven Weisemann is only twenty-three years old, but already he’s carved out a niche which is unmistakably his own. As a producer, his music draws deeply
on the legacy of Chicago and Detroit, yet somehow manages to end up sounding as fresh as a daisy. A self-taught musician who plays piano, acoustic guitar
and percussion, Weisemann also composes jazz and soundtracks “ traditions which also influence his house records no doubt, many of which you can find
on new German labels such as Liebe Detail, Styrax Leaves and especially Mojuba, where Weisemann’s music slots together with friends Nick Solé and
Oracy to form a distinct, and highly collectible, label sound.

Berlin newcomer Sven Weisemann takes on the “Nospheratu” remix; it’s proper deep house music that is half atmosphere and half beats. We can find a few
parallels with the “Nospheratu” reduction by Echospace, the deep vibes treatment and use of the subtle conga which now becomes the key of the
track. This is dubbed out house music at its best.

The Soultourist boat is crewed by Tobi Foster, Ron Shiller, Philippe Wager (Thabo), and Pascal Dubach (Big Clap) “ however, the rowing is done in
shifts. Soultourist’s first 12″ was released on Jazzanova’s renowned label Sonar Kollektiv. The latest two singles were released on their own label Drumpoet
Community, which was founded in 2006 by Alex Dallas, Ron Shiller & Tobi Foster, and is the home of artists such as Quarion, Manuel Tur & Dplay,
Kawabata and The Lost Men.

“Dub by the Rriver” is the track re-dubbed by Soultourist. Deep house with a certain dubby tech flavour, re-built for more dance-floor orientated action.

Of the hand of Ernie & C Gonzalez, Minuendo Recordings is born in 2004,
by the restlessness to look for new forms, new sounds and to shape
personal works, without labels, deep electronics and of dance searching
carefully in its roots.
Minuendo Recordings part of electronic music in its different slopes, removing
essences from the past and evolving them in deep Microhouse, Dub, Minimal,
Deep, Detroit!
From the beginning Minuendo grows under the aid of Net28, thanks to
Jose Villalobos (CMYK, Apnea, Mupa, Pulpa) who decides to take control of the
distribution and management of the seal.

During the two first references the seal enjoys the national exclusive right of
Decoder Muzique, but it is from third when all the labels of Net28 and Minuendo
sign with the German distributor Kompakt in exclusive right at world-wide level,
to give to light the new references under this escuderia, to the present time!

Sybaris recordings is a label that was born in the club with the same name.
A division of Deep Explorer music that represent the most jazzy and spiritual side of the Deep Explorer crew.
It begins in 2003 with a free cd mix for all the customers of the club and continue in the 2004 with his second part, another live session. Both represents some of the music usually played in Sybaris club.
The third release is a vinyl edition in a limited way. (Only 500 copies to worlwide) called “Jazz pollution ep” . Two house cuts from the hands of Dubbyman & Above Smoke full of black soul and jazzy elements.
Finally until today the last release of the label is “Musica Sybarita”, a digipack with material editedpreviously and inedit tracks too from spain young producers.
