Bjak & Julio Bishop/ Ernie/ Kez YM/ Ordell “Beyond The Reef EP”
Just before to that sweet moment when the summer breeze enters, arrives the new 12″ on Deep Explorer. It’s the number 020 and it’s a label sampler with music from new and old friends.
Like Bjak (Eargasmic records) and Julio Bishop (RealDEEP recordings) that both together open the fire with their “Fashion (BC Deeper Luv mix) a late night percussive song to wake up the floor if they start to get sleepy…
The A2 is for Ernie (Minuendo records) that with his “The alcoholics” almost make up a new style that includes indian prayers an spiritual chords… but make no mistakes, is just the effects of the alcohol and good sounds.
In the B side the Japanese Kez YM continues his race to be one of the best producers in the last years. His song “Pebbles” is like a follow up of his essential two eps for Yore records.
And Ordell (Minuendo records) close the release with “The Blackholics” that reminds the Ernie’s track but in a black and soulful way.
Deep underground in different house for a nice summer…
Go ahead explorers!!

Get updated about our new stuff listening our radioshow, also an special mixtape from Dj Doozer (Brokenloop.com)
Artwork by Trinidad Reviriego thank you!
The first song that i remember from Larry Heard is “Bye, bye” around 1988. I had it recorded in a tape, recorded from a radio show and i loved it. The song said: “looking in my mirror..everytime…” yeah, i always sing in that part of the mixtape.
I was fifteen years old and i never knew the artist of that song because there was really difficult to catch the information about it.But around the end of the 90′s I was listening a Mr.Fingers compilation in a recordshop from Barcelona and was really nice to discover that “Bye Bye” was a Larry production, so he was in my head since long time ago…but i didn’t know.
I am an obsessed record collector of all the material from Larry Heard , songs, remixes, productions..I don’t care… i want it all. Because i can feel that the work of Larry Heard is the evolution of dance. Not just the usual loops. It’s real music made it from the heart. This reminds me one day that i was with my man Kamu at home listening “What about this love” from Larry. We both were in silence but just with the look we were telling each other “oh man..this is pure cream…”
One day I was organizing my record collection and i stayed a while watching the shelf with the Larry stuff and i though “why not?, could be amazing to have a lot of hours of his amazing sound mixed together” And this is how started….and the result is almost 4 hours, divided in 2 sets with classic material, early remixes and some weird takes from the Larry legacy.
All the selection is taken from my old vinyl collection so please excuse if some of the tracks don’t have the best sound quality or even sometimes the record jump but like my friend Todd said “the source material i so great…” so the bad details will get eclipsed with the music.
So this is my deepest tribute to the one and only master.
Thank you, Larry just for make the difference. We all have so much to learn from you .

W & P Hgg “Future Gospel EP”
W & P Hgg is back to Deep Explorer with more black deep house than ever. “Future Gospel” is a 4 track ep that open the fire with “Edit gospel nº3″ the nearest track to the ep title.
If you wanted to make a party in the church of your neighborhood this is the song to convince your pastor, man!! In the same side “Long play” is the title of an atmosferic deep song.
The B is the surprise side because it contains the remix that Dubbyman & Above Smoke do about “Sleep scottheron”, the classic track from W&P edited in a limited edition of one side plastics… but is not a simple new mix of the song because The Lady Blacktronika (Cocaine records) sings over the edit in a really funky way….
Finally the ep close with “Especies de Chicago” , the most syncopated track of the ep with Rhodes to death….
I hope you will enjoy the vibe and like Lady B says: “Do do do you love meeeeeee….do do do you love meeeee”
Go ahead, explorers….
